Beginnings

Hope Community Church, affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA), began in the fall of 2001 when a group of six families from the Morris Evangelical Free Church and Lake Community Church in Alexandria partnered to start an Evangelical Free Church in the Minnewaska area. Hope Community Church (HCC) opened for its first public worship service on June 9th, 2002 at the Minnewaska Area High School.
