Meeting This Week:
- Young Women’s Study: Mondays, 10AM and 7PM, at the home of Beth Hartokolis (1306 Rideway Drive, Alexandria). Contact Beth at 320-766-2717
- Youth Group: Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30PM at Central Square in Glenwood.
- Women’s Bible Study: Thursdays, 7-9PM, 1013 Mnt. Lookout Hgts. Dr. Contact Tami at 320-424-0652. A fall/winter study will be starting soon!
In the Prayer Zone: Eric Westberg will be deployed to Afghanistan for medical duties starting Sept. 30th until the end of Jan. 2011. As he heads fof the “war zone”, we want to keep him and his famiy in the “prayer zone”. We are looking for individuals, couples or families to take one week during that time to pray for Eric, Jen, Kira, Carter and Connor. Please contact Tami at the office to choose a week. A reminder along with some prayer requests will be sent to you a few days before you are scheduled. Thank you!
Children’s Church: Will resume Sept. 12th. If you are interested in helping with this vital ministry, please contact either Tami Schmitz for Glenwood site or Vickie Anderson for the Starbuck site. Thank you!
The Acts course starting Sept. 9th with an intro to the course and handing out the course workbook. We will look at principles that laid the foundation of the early church and helped it to carry out the “Great Commission.” We will meet Thursday nights 7-9pm starting Sept. 9th and finishing up in early Dec. Talk to Pastor Mark if you are interested. The course work book cost is $55.
Another course we will be working through this fall on Tuesday nights is
called Leaders in the Early Church. This will begin on Tuesday Sept. 28th
from 7-9pm. This course will look at the Early Church leaders throughout
key passages in the New Testament. If you are interested in this course or
if you have further questions please talk to Pastor Mark.
Discipleship Coaching Meeting – For those who want to take a deeper step into the discipleship adventure this fall, please plan to attend one of the coaching meetings. We will seek the Word, learn from each other, and pray together as we go deeper together as disciples. Monday, Aug. 30th @ 7-8:30pm at Kelly & Cheryl Mahoney’s or Sunday, Sept. 12th @ 12:15-2pm Barsness Park picnic shelter with a potluck meal. If inclement weather, Central Square Gym.
