Leadership Team
The Leadership Team at Hope Community Church meets monthly for prayer and devotions and is under the guidance of the Pastoral Team (Pr. Bob and Pr. Mark). They assist in any decisions that need to be made regarding facility use, finances, staffing and ministry needs. They may also be called upon at times to
“preach” and serve communion.
At our Annual Meeting in Feb. 2010, the following were unanimously approved and added :
Overseers: Randy Ihnen (for another 3 year term) and Dave Helander ( 2 year term)

Our Overseers
Craig McLain: Craig was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1978. After high school he attended college in Missoula, Montana where he graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1983. Prior to moving to Glenwood in 2000, Craig enjoyed working in the printing industry where he was employed by the Standard Register Company and Moore Business Forms. Craig married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly in 1980 and they have three children.
Randy Ihnen: Randy was born and raised right here in Pope County. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1980. He attended Alexandria Technical School where he graduated from the Farm Equipment Mechanics course in 1982. He spent the next two years working as a mechanic and a truck driver. He joined the family farm operation in 1984 with his father. He now owns and operates the family farm soueast of Lowry. Randy married his wife Patti in 1986. They have been blessed wiht 3 children, 2 son-in-laws and 2 grandchildren.
Aby Kallimel: Aby was born in Kashmir, India. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degre in Zoology (1993) and a Masters in Environmental Science (1995) from India. Aby then went on to pursue a Masters of Divinity (2000) from Oral Robers University, Tulsa, OK. Aby is a mission’s strategist and leadership development consultant, serving with the India Evangelical Team in South Asia. Aby and his wife, Babitha, currently make their home in Glenwood, MN and they have two children, Shawn and Michelle.
Our Deacons
Randy Anderson: Randy was born and raised in a Christian home near Starbuck, MN. He attended Crookston and the Universityof MN, St. Paul. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Animal Science in 1989. He met his wife Vickie at the U of M and married her in August of 1987. They have been blesesd with three wonderful children. . He also owns and manages the farm he grew up on, which includes 30 beef cows. Randy and Vickie homeschool their children.
Tim Schmitz: Born and raised on a chicken farm just outside of Sanborn, MN, Tim graduated from Sanborn High School before completing one year at Mankato State followed by two years at Willmar Vo-Tech where he received his Auto Mechanics Technician degree. Tim was led to a saving relationship with the Lord by a friend at that school. While working in the Willmar area, he met and later married Tami. Their three children have all graduated from high school and are either working or attending college. Tim has been a self-employed General Contractor since 1990 doing mostly remodeling jobs for homes and businesses. Tim and Tami moved to Glenwood from Lakeville, MN in the spring of 2004 as Tim expanded his business to include home building.
