Leadership Team
The Leadership Team at Hope Community Church meets monthly for prayer and devotions and is under the guidance of the Pastoral Team (Pr. Bob and Pr. Mark). They assist in any decisions that need to be made regarding facility use, finances, staffing and ministry needs. They may also be called upon at times to
“preach” and serve communion.
At our Annual Meeting on Feb. 10th, 2008 the following were unanimously approved :
Overseers: Craig McLain (3 yr. term), Randy Ihnen (2 yr. term) & Jeff Norbie (1 yr. term)
Deacons: Bruce Geiser (3 yr. term), Don Rakstad (2 yr. term) & Randy Anderson (1 yr. term)

Our Overseers
Craig McLain: Craig was born in Hutchinson, Minnesota. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1978. After high school he attended college in Missoula, Montana where he graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1983. Prior to moving to Glenwood in 2000, Craig enjoyed working in the printing industry where he was employed by the Standard Register Company and Moore Business Forms. Craig is currently part of the management team at American Solutions for Business in Glenwood. Craig married his high school sweetheart, Kimberly in 1980 and they have three children.
Randy Ihnen:
Jeff Norbie: Jeff was born in Willmar, MN. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1976. Jeff attended Oak Hills Bible Institute (now Oak Hills Christian College) in Bemidji, MN and graduated with a degree in General Bible Education in 1979. In 1980, Jeff married Cheryl, of whom he met at OHBI and they have 6 children.In 2005 Jeff and Cheryl retired from 17 years of serving as therapeutic foster parents for high risk children. As a couple, they sensed God calling them to a change in their lives, which resulted in Jeff resigning from his employment of 25 years with the State of MN in 2006. The Lord has led them to seek full-time missions, in which they have recently been accepted with American Missionary Fellowship.
Our Deacons
Bruce Geiser: Bruce was born in Wadena, MN and graduated from Wadena High School in 1983. Bruce has worked in manufacturing since 1985 and graaduated from the Machine Tool Technology program from Alexandria Technical College. He has been employed at ITW Heartland in Alexandria since 1996. Bruce married Michele in 1988 and they are blessed with four wonderful children.
Don Rakstad: Don was born and raised in Fergus Falls. He graduated from the U of M with a BS in Wildlife Management and spent the following 3 years in the Peace Corps in Morocco and traveling across Africa. He then worked for the US Forest Service doing wildlife habitat research. During this time he met the “love of his life”, Sheree and thanks to her got saved and me the “LOVE of his life”, Jesus! They were married and in a couple of years left the big city for country life in Pope County. He has worked at Clyde Machines for the last 20 years and has been blessed with two great sons.
Randy Anderson: Randy was born and raised in a Christian home near Starbuck, MN. He attended Crookston and the Universityof MN, St. Paul. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Animal Science in 1989. He met his wife Vickie at the U of M and married her in August of 1987. They have been blesesd with three wonderful children. Randy currently works at the Bank of the West as a loan officer. He also owns and manages the farm he grew up on, which includes 30 beef cows. Randy and Vickie homeschool their children.
